I think I would be joined by a chorus of many saying that this pandemic is weighing heavily on so many aspects of our daily lives. Even though many are ready to open things back up; some are still hesitant. Stradling the ever-changing fence of operating while taking into consideration both stances, ready to open vs. it's too early to open, can be hard to navigate to say the least.
Staying current with newly released information and guidelines will be the key to operating during these changing times. While the drip-drop of the overload of information seems unending, TXIA has curated some new information for our irrigation industry professionals that we believe will be important in going forward. We have included these new resources in this article as well as on TXIA's COVID-19 Resources page.
The US Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration has provided Enforcement Guidance for Reporting Cases of COVID-19 Cases in an updated Enforcement Memo. This resource includes guidance and resource links.
Access the Governer's Strikeforce to Open Texas to stay up to date on the latest Texas opening guidelines. They have a great list of reopening checklists including one for employers and employees. Governer Abbott also has a page that publishes update for Texas small businesses where you can sign up for COVID-19 Related Updates for Texas Businesses.
The TXIA wishes you the best as you navigate these uncharted waters of doing business during a pandemic and will continue to keep you up to date as things develop.
